Being in love is all that storybook, Hollywood butterfly bullshyt that usually doesn't last.
Loving someone is doing what you truly believe is right for them even if it means they get hurt in the process. You can tell if someone loves you based on what they're doing for you.

loving someone doesnt necessarily denote a sexual connotation. You deeply care for this person --- it could be a significant other, best friend, family member, etc.
Being in love with someone communicates a sexual interest, on top of the normal things that would accompany deeply caring for another.

That in love shyt is gabbage to me. It's really just semantics to try and placate the person you're with at the time. I believe you can love more than one person at the same time and that's fine. It's kind of naive to believe that one person can have a monopoly on someone else's feelings. People are fickle and complicated and it's nothing we can do about it

to me being in love with someone will drive u to do some crazy things in the name of love. where as loving someone is that more mature way of having feelings for someone.
