Why do Jets fans say Rex had his hands tied and couldn't play Tebow or McElroy because of the Sanchez contract?

I mean, I understand why, but when you have coaches like Pete Carroll playing Wilson after the Seahawks gave Flynn that big contract, it just comes out to Rex not having any balls.

Or am I misunderstanding this and Rex really did want Sanchez? I don't follow the Jets that much so I won't pretend to know more than I do. I do think though that McElroy should've been in games a looong time ago. He looks more capable than Sanchez AND Tebow.

Yeah, people thought that about the Broncos last year but the key difference is the Broncos have a coach with the balls to actually try something different if the status quo isnt working. He made the change and went to the playoffs, giving the fans some good entertainment for their money. If Rex Ryan was the coach of the Broncos he would have rode the Orton train all the way to the unemployment line like he is doing with this Sanchez shyt.

I think Tebow is terrible and won't ever have any real success in this league.

However, there was no good reason for him not playing the entire second half yesterday. Mark Sanchez is garbage and after going 6/13 for 43 yards, 0 TDs and 2 INTs in the first half he proved to be garbage yet again against shytty competition. Give Tebow a shot to prove you wrong and keep your slim playoff hopes alive. Not playing Tebow solidified the whole season as a waste, and a joke...if it was Woody who championed the Tebow trade, then he should've demanded Rex play him for the entire second half.

Tebow may be terrible, but at that point, he deserved a shot to prove us wrong, but this joke of a franchise completely bungled this...
