What you think? Dude was disrespectful towards Floyd all throughout the fight. Dude was gassing himself too much.

Over hyped... not yet. Taking an L to the current Floyd doesn't mean you're overrated. I think he was too inexperienced but he was also much bigger, younger, with good hand speed. Floyd was/is just too good..

I still haven't been wildly impressed by him. He's usually gassed by the 6th or 7th round, and when you look at his KOs over the last couple years they were against guys who were way overmatched.

He's very talented, super young & not even in his physical prime yet, but i think the hype machine was in high gear for him, yes.

Aside from what Skip said about his competition, his hype has more to do with his looks rather than his talent. He's a Mexican that looks like Opie Taylor. If he was just an ordinary Brown Mexican, there would be 0 hype

A Mexican who looks like he's Irish who was knocking out dudes on his way up...that is money right there. they would have been nuts to not overhype him.
The trick is going to be what he does in 2014 since they are announcing his PPV fight schedule like he has arrived as a legit superstar. So he has a chance to live up to the hype.

The Trout fight sold me. Dude looked good. The best I ever seen him defensively and he did a great job of putting punches together. I was actually pulling for Trout.

I think Canelo is a good fighter who was beaten by a great fighter. That's all. If you saying Alvarez is a bum, you can't possibly use him to big up Floyd record then.
