Bought it on PC a few years ago and never beat it. Game is tough even if you level properly. I remember getting killed time after time on that desert fight with the big tank before finally beating it.

Already played it (and finished it, surprisingly) on PS3 when it came out. Game definitely gets difficult as hell in the last couple stages, can't really waste any movements or your squad is fukked.

Yep, they were good to me. The 2nd on ekinda had a school theme, the 3rd one was similar to VC.PSP had sequels
The 2nd came to the US, the 3rd never did but there was a fan translation that eventually came out for it and I downloaded the iso and played it on a PSP emulator on my laptop.
They both had smaller squad sizes but added more variety in term of classes.
