On the real though, how can Gundumb be so disconnected from black America when his mom and half his family is black? I don't get it. Feeling like you don't relate is one thing. Being utterly ignorant is another. Dude said he didn't know black people called each other "nikka" before the hip-hop era in a thread once.

Hennessy is something different though. It's not that expensive (25 dollars for 750ml), and it doesn't have a good taste. Food-for-less Stocks Hennessy in stock piles, so it's not some "high class" drink.
I think Low-class was the wrong way to put it.
Hennessy is something that all the little sheep drink-- Like Hieneken, Budweiser, Stella Artios, or Corona. It's like Olive garden, Red Lobster, or PF Changs. You know what I mean?

I didn't have much exposure to black people except around family events.
I never hung around black people in my life, and I grew up in a SE. Asian neighborhood. All my friends were Vietnamese or Cambodian. In fact, today, all my friends are Vietnamese and Cambodian.
I'm kinda not black too. Understanding a racially specific culture, requires (I think) for one to actually belong to that race. I don't belong to the black race. Sure, I guess on paper I do, but that has never been my experience in life.
first of all there's VS, VSOP, XO, etc. some of that shyt is pretty damn expensive and is definitely a "high class" drink
if it has a "good taste" is obviously a matter of opinion. many people don't like cognac, brandy, or whiskey at all. personally I drink it straight, no chaser
obviously it's a trendy hip-hop drink, but that doesn't take anything away from the product itself

You already said straight up you associate every cultural expression unique to black Americans with low class ghetto trashiness and criminality, so you have forfeited any notion that anything else you on this matter should be taken seriously. The funny thing is, i know a bunch of Cambodians and south east Asians around here and they are way more in tune with blacks than that poster b/c most of them grow up in the same socioeconomic settings. And they arent even half black like he is. Dont speak on things you dont know about maybe?
