I had a hard time comprehending how someone could come to that decision to jump, but in case it provides any of y’all solace, they may not consciously have made that choice

what I mean is, the human body is predisposed to react to certain things and avoid certain dangers. For example, when you touch a hot stove, your hand automatically moves away you don’t have to tell it to. So some scientists theorize that those people in the towers, it was so hot and there was so little oxygen, there bodies “jumped” without really thinking about it because our body’s first instinct is to get oxygen and get away from the heat that was in those buildings.

She was on last nights Robin Roberts women of 9/11 thing on ABC. She said she was coming out of the subway as the second plane hit the tower. She tried to run up under an owning but didn’t make it. Her lower half got hit with a burning/hot piece of metal that knocked her unconscious and mangled the lower half of her body.

Thats the second decision I wouldn’t want to imagine having to make on that day...being a first responder running into those buildings. I guess they didn’t know they were going to fall but it’s still just so sad to think about.
