My boy went to Pace University which is right in the area..I remember his college closed for a long time, but when the area was finally being cleared of rubble and people could go about their business again I'll never forget him mentioning how he could smell the dead bodies in the rubble everyday walking by..:hhh:

I worked down there a few years later and the smell was all over everything. Just the smell of dust, sheet rock, chemicals and death .

For those saying they don't get why people jumped or saying they wouldn't, I remember reading an article that said the amount of heat that was being emitted was beyond anything you could imagine. They said your brain is just looking to get away at any and all costs and that you don't even have time to think of the consequences. Compared it to a rat eating through someone's stomach when putting a bucket over it and lighting it with fire. By the time you realize it's too late.

Also said it wasn't high enough to pass out from so all those who jumped were conscious for it all.

Many had time to think before the jumped. At the window was where the fresh air was and fire wasn’t.

They were at the window until it was too hot or the fire was next to them. The had no choice, sit in a fire and get burned alive or jump.

It was a horrible and sad choice that I don’t even want to imagine the pain and fear that they faced.

im afraid of heights so I struggle with what I would have done.

suffocating or burning alive seems like a better alternative than falling to my death from the tallest building in the world.

I know we would never know until we unfortunately are in that situation though.

same here I’m petrified of heights

I don’t even know how IG thots or people on the gram in general can just casually take photos right outside on the balcony of a high raise apartment and smile with their hearts content

I’ll think I’ll fall over or someone could push me

I remember watching a doc and I was disgusted by the one family who was acting disgusted that the guy “committed suicide”. I believe it was some Latino family that said it couldn’t be their son because he “committed suicide”.

Like uhh, you wanted the guy to stay there and fukking get burned alive???

I watched this the other day. I mean one part of me sees where they coming from in terms of their religion and suicide, but fukk just be proud he did what he thought was necessary at that moment and that was to get the fukk away from that fire

Yeah I saw the documentary a while ago,I believe he was a chef. Honestly not sure why they went through the lengths to find out who it was. Does his family need to know who it was? Would he want the world to know he made that decision in a vulnerable state? I guess I was nosey to because I watched:francis:

I think breh was brave to jump, maybe he'd be proud the world knew he took his life into his own hands :to:

Making clothes as a rope? First I’d like to say, if we were trapped up there I would’ve killed you for saying that dumb shyt.

But realistically, they were trapped. The floors below them were on fire and the fire was in the middle of the building.

Elevators didn’t work and the stairs led to the fire. They were forced to be by the windows, that’s the only place without smoke and without fire.

Until the fire was at the windows.

They had two choices. Die by the fire and smoke or jump.

It’s just sad…

dont listen to dude, he thinks he's Spiderman or some shyt if he's leaping out a window with everyones items of clothing tied together :mjlol:
