This the part that stupid uneducated nikkas whos parents probably weren’t even born when moon landings happened consistently leave out. There was a whole world of history that played out before these dumb ass nikkas were born but they think the world revolves around them and only began once they were born
stupid uneducated nikkas will never say that outright but that’s their worldview and it becomes clear when they leave huge contexts of history out of their argument because they don’t know the history. The context in this case being the technological battle between the US and RUssia that was in every faucet of both societies to show and prove which “system” communism or capitalism was a better way of life and societal structure for their citizens. People forget Russia was “winning” the Space Race initially and sent the first probes and man into Space. America was getting clowned during this time for being technically inferior until JFK made this speech :

This was the “last” frontier of mankind to embark on. America used to be so gangsta when it came to styling on the world with tech and this was one of their greatest feats. Sad to see all the computer nerds use our current tech to mine our data and sell us crap we don’t need

I know exactly what you mean. I won't say that we never landed on the moon. It just wasn't in 1969. America just had convince Russia at the time that they did in order to buy themselves some time to actually get there. The technology jump in Russia barely getting a ship into orbit to the US getting all the way to the moon happens way too quickly.

The moon landing served as a powerful propaganda tool, showcasing American capabilities to the world and reinforcing the idea of US leadership and exceptionalism. The world we live in is different if Russia beats us there. It's pretty interesting when you think about (there's even a show about: For All Mankind).

We put thousands of satellites and probes into orbit and deep space using the same rocket tech. So your logic is flawed. Adding a human to that equation is more expensive and dangerous for little payback right now. This is the same government that doesn’t even want to pay for social safety net programs, they not trying to subsidize trips to the moon for no reason
