Did we ever confirm who T.I. was talking to on “I’m Talkin’ To You”?

I found myself revisiting some of his earlier discography recently and on my commute to work I had an epiphany:

Just WHO was Tip talking to on this record?




I think he was even asked about it in his most recent Breakfast Club interview, and instead of being direct he gave some vague ass answer about the “process of elimination” or some shyt like that.

Which still leaves the aforementioned question.

That couldn’t be. Didn’t the Lo beef kick off circa ‘07-‘08? When Lo claimed Tip wasn’t from Bankhead, IIRC.

I remember because summer ‘08 was when Lo was more visible in rap. Tip even referenced a line from “Dey Know” in his song “No Matter What” which was on Paper Trail.
