The point is
Even with a search warrant
If u have a pin or pattern lock u can pretend u forgot it and keep giving the wrong one

With fingerprint or facial lock
They can manually make u unlock it with force

No they can't. They can't manually make you open your locked anything without a warrant. If a cop tells you to open your phone, you say that you want your lawyer and watch them back off. Locked is locked. Does not matter how its locked.

proof or anything to back this up?

apple refused to unlock an iphone for the FBI that belonged to a shooter that killed 14 ppl recently, yet we're suppose to believe this?:comeon:

You're not very bright are you

The person who's phone it was, wasn't even there, and also it was locked by a code not a fingerprint or any of that other shyt

if you are present with the phone they can force to open up it those other ways, legally or illegal lmao

There's literally an amendment in the bill of rights that says they can't and if they do any evidence they find would unusable in a case.

Only on the coli is the bill of rights wrong :francis:

They can easily get a warrant for that.

You guys watch way too much law and order svu. If you're going to get your criminal justice from a TV show just remember that Marlo in the wire got off because the cops couldn't explain how they got in his phone without a warrant.

Huge difference between search warrants and cops forcing your finger or face onto your phone to open it.

Judge Rules Suspect Can Be Required to Unlock Phone With Fingerprint
A judge has already ruled because your fingerprint isn't something you know but is something on you Police can force you to unlock your phone using it.

Police Can Force You to Use Your Fingerprint to Unlock Your Phone
They can also have a warrant issued and expedite it in under 48 hours to make sure your phone doesn't lockdown and require a password.

Cops pull you over and make you unlock your phone. All they have to do from that point is keep the phone active and it will continue to stay unlocked. From there they can search the phone and see if there's incriminating evidence on it and if there is go to the judge and get a warrant before bringing that evidence to court.

In other words they can unofficially search your phone before the officially search it.

the cops can't force you to physically do anything, or give out your passcode, warrant or not

edit: so apparently they can force you to use your fingerprint. another reason to not use that stupid feature

...not that I have anything to hide, ociffer

The cops can murder you and get away with it. You think they can't press your thumb against a phone?

Also once you're in their custody they can get a warrant requiring you to use your fingerprint to unlock a phone because a fingerprint isn't protected under the 5th amendment. They can't get your passcode because it is.
Police can require cellphone fingerprint, not pass code
