I believe so, like it or not, prior to the Internet, we had three primary news agencies for the big tv networks.

They spoke with a consistent voice largely that we trusted with a professional and ethical code of conduct.

That started to fracture with cable news and was shattered when the Internet came to every home and phone

So all the information was filtered and curated by this very limited media and people ate it up like gospel

Now we have access to all the information we want and its up to us to filter it and make sense of it.

Yes I get it many don't want or aren't capable of critical analysis or to spend hours of research and just want to be told how to feel/confirmarion bias.


But give me the latter any time rather than feeding me and everyone else limited info
