Did Sony announce the PS5 in the holiday theme?

I thought it was semi confirmed that it's getting announced next year, and releasing in 2020. I don't think we'll see another case of them announcing and launching in the same year again. That only happened this time around because the previous gen ran unusually long, and devs were practically begging for a new generation.
