Ehh Mel Gibson had already peaked when that happened.

I think a lot of you guys were younger when Pee-Wee was in his prime, but the dude was one of the biggest entertainers out period in the late 80's early 90's. He was one of the few Saturday morning guys that translated well in daytime and late night. I was a teenager when Pee-Wee was out and I just watched for the trippy whacked out stuff and the little innuendo. His 1st movie was essentially a universal classic and helped launch Tim Burton.

When he got tagged for bustin nut shots in the movie theater, the fall off was EPIC. He was getting ready to another movie, was considering relaunching his show and doing a grown-up comedy and some other projects and they all disappeared in a flash, we went from beloved to hated in a millisecond. He had a few friends but even they were hesitant to speak out in his defense. He got tagged as a pervert and molester. His belongings were confiscated without due process and he didn't even get an apology when he was cleared. I mean think about it, he didn't appear in a major role for like 6 or 7 years after that, that is a major fall off.

John Landis got ignored and shytted on by hollywood and big studios etc..you know about the twilight zone the movie controversy? If not, look it up.
Steven Spielberg could have been involved but everything fell on Landis. He was blackballed for a while which affected his finances..Eddie Murphy brought him back with coming to america.
