Did Married With Children Have Any "Serious" Moments?

Another was when he was helping his ex-girlfriend with the "thugs". Any other show would go real serious with it but they made it laughable.

that was one of my least favorite episodes. I hated seeing al simp like that. Get beat up mad times for a chick he used to have a crush on and had no chance of smashing; while he had a tough wife at home beggin him.

damn i feel i've seen almost every episode of married with children except the last 2 seasons but i cant think of anything. they prob had some serious episodes the first season when it was more a typical family sitcom/

one thing i never understood about married with children if al was so poor how the hell did he live in that big ass house in the suburbs of chicago. Shouldn't they have been in the same projects as the good times fam lol. got a shoe salesman living in the same block with cats driving benzes and beemers.

I thought of one, I think it was the 200th episode where Al took the Dodge to get washed and they couldn't find it at the car wash because after cleaning all the dirt off the car it was a different color. And Al was making a big deal about finding the car and the car wash said they would buy him a new car because Al insisted on finding the Dodge because it had something important in it and everyone assuemed it was just a magazine of biguns. They eventual found the car and it was biguns but inside of the biguns was a picture of the family when the show first came on the air.
