you can't stop DDOS. you can only mitigate it and the costs of doing that are astronomical. you'd have to basically construct a new internet to put an end to DDOS attacks

To say "you can't stop DDOS" is unacceptable in my opinion. If your business is based on online connectivity then you had better know where you are vulnerable and plan for this shyt. As a paying consumer, I am paying for PS+ and Live and should these virgin fukks choose to keep this up who's to say we can't play any system for a month? Well then Sony or Microsoft has to do something to make sure they are protected and they have to compensate us paying consumers because they failed to provide a service that was promised. I understand that "shyt happens" from time to time... but this is not just a one or two time thing with both companies...
