"mad rappers, look on the bright side, I sold 1.5...hip hop is aliiiveeee"

low key wayne is responsible for hip hop resurrecting in 08...1 mil first week :wow:

"a milli" ...most pure lyrical track to ever chart billboards too might I add

this was also about the same time when we started discovering, j cole, Kendrick, drake etc...coincidence? :ohhh:

did wayne have the foursight??

wayne dropped c3 for HIP HOP..he did it for us brehs...classic album, big numbers, a whole culture shifted and became relevant again :banderas:

If he picked the right and better songs from the C3 sessions we would be having a real conversation

The version of Tha Carter III that was released was an example of a rapper who bought way too into his own hype....and a victim of bootlegging, poor song choice, etc etc.....Truthfully, Wayne has been on a downward trend ever since. His drug use and personality also started to seep through around this time.
