TBF, it was an unnecessary and stupid thing to say. A New Day is so off the wall wacky, that you really don't need to be telling people that it's some cynical joke. Yes, Blacks would know that no brother would volunteer to be so fruity booty, but there's still kids out there, and that's who, outside of Blacks, would pop for them the most, even as heels. Kinda need to TRY to keep up suspension of disbelief for them. And yes, there is a 
reason for the New Day act and how it's getting over. I'm gonna leave that alone though

I get where you coming from and a few times new day promos have had me like "okay..this getting annoying" then I remembered that is there thing, they ain't tryna be likable they really wanna annoy the shyt out ya.
As for Kofi comments, it was probably for some next level heat from that Tennessee crowd. It really shouldn't make anyone who works for the E feel a type of way since they brought up the Lana/Rusev engagement from TMZ multiple times on air, then tried to bury Rusev for it. It also doesn't help Kayfabe when you got shows like Total Divas and all that good stuff. I thought it was funny that he really didn't like country music to that point to say them comments.

the kids who are caught up in the work wont even notice it and the adults watching already know what it is...not that bad to me. the line didnt matter enough for the kayfabe break to really have an impact.

That's how I took it. You have what's basically the country music capital, and New Day took a dump on it. That's all that needed to be said. It would be like having a show in Philly and deciding to crap all over ECW and talk about how washed a lot of former ECW guys are.
