I dont see either as winning or losing.
- Nuggets are better off because they did their best with Melo in his prime and got nowhere so might as well rebuild now and get young talent. Only downside is that that young talent will take them just about as far as Melo did and no further.
- Knicks are better off because they were starving for a star to re-energize the fan base and hey got what they needed so far.
As far as winning a championship? I dont think so. Like D-Wade, Melo is a little bit past his prime. You see it in his body language. Dude barely gets off the ground anymore when he jumps. I noticed it for the first time last season and thought it was the wear and tear of the short, fast-paced season but was not.
He's still a deadly scorer and his skill set hasnt deminished one bit so he can lead you to championship BUT you better have a damn good roster around him and the Knicks, outside of Chandler, dont have what he needs.
