How are we predicting chandler :dwillhuh: he wasn't on the Team and wasn't part of the trade . Maybe he doesn't want to play on the Knicks team without melo
When The Nuggets Win A Championship Or Even Touch The NBA Finals I'll Concede A Loss On That Trade

Denver would be a legit threat in the east, so that game cant played here:whoa:

The "game" is would you rather have Carmelo, or Gallo, Wilson C, and Moz? Thats the "game" here, because Melo isnt responsible for the way the teams were constructed before and after the trade. Melo didnt give away Lee, Zach R, Crawford for nothing. Melo didnt draft Jordan Hill...etc, etc.

Fact of the matter is that Melo is out performing the players he was traded for. Gallo and wilson are not all star level, difference maker type players, and we would be going nowhere had we held on to them. The Nuggets have just been better constructed and managed organization over the years than the Knicks.

You don't know what your talking about . He could of got money from golden state too or Houston :rolleyes:you think he wanted to just go get money ?
Tyson chandler -"It just really happened over the last, like, 48 hours," Chandler said on ESPN 103.3's "Ben and Skin Show" on Friday. "I just think the future of the team, being able to play alongside Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and the young talent that we have, I feel like puts us in contention over the next four or five years."
You can't predict Tyson going to New York it requires the mavs winning the title and then Marc Cuban pursuing dwill. Not to mention melo would of went To New Jersey and the Knicks would of been killed .

the criminally overlooked aspect of the trade: Lawson's emergence as a franchise player doesn't happen with Melo and Chauncey still on the team. Ty doesn't accept ownership of the team and doesn't develop that "there isn't a mutherfukker alive that can guard me" level of confidence/consistency if the bright lights of New York didn't come calling for Melo. :ahh:

Melo would stop the ball and grind the offense to a halt too often. Ty is the engine that makes our high-powered offense go. :ahh:

I hope Carmelo gets a 5 minute standing ovation. :ahh:

I dont see either as winning or losing.

  • Nuggets are better off because they did their best with Melo in his prime and got nowhere so might as well rebuild now and get young talent. Only downside is that that young talent will take them just about as far as Melo did and no further.
  • Knicks are better off because they were starving for a star to re-energize the fan base and hey got what they needed so far.

As far as winning a championship? I dont think so. Like D-Wade, Melo is a little bit past his prime. You see it in his body language. Dude barely gets off the ground anymore when he jumps. I noticed it for the first time last season and thought it was the wear and tear of the short, fast-paced season but was not.
He's still a deadly scorer and his skill set hasnt deminished one bit so he can lead you to championship BUT you better have a damn good roster around him and the Knicks, outside of Chandler, dont have what he needs.
