Does not matter. The faux "pro-black" African American talk is ultimately pointless. There are plenty of Hispanic countries where the racial demarcations are not as pronounced as they are in the US either. Remember, most of favorable conditions African Americans enjoy were GIVEN not TAKEN....and that can probably be attributed to the fact that the US adopted British style governance where rule of law and representation were paramount. Latin America and the Caribbean was a free-for-all of mercantilism and exploitation. Remember that. A few too many of you like to get gassed up on your own bullshyt. You were not the hardest freedom fighters in the Americas. Not be ANY stretch of the imagination. At all.
Most people actually dont though.
I commend Kap, alot. He is a far braver man than I am...but the fact that people legit sit there and try to undermine is just testament to how pathetically spineless a lot of African Americans appear to be. Cant color myself shocked because I am pretty sure that, unlike the Jamaicans and the Haitians and the Brazilian blacks, they never actually legit fought for their freedom.
First of all what is your ethnic background?
Second, there were over 300 slave revolts in the usa. Aframs had a dynamic to where one state in the south was like 3X the size of the average caribbean country
Let alone the entire south or 50 states
@IllmaticDelta @Poitier @Diasporan Royalty yall see this shyt
Afram REVOLUTION has benefited blacks on a larger scale than anything that came out of the caribbean or latin america.A small scale slave revolt is not the same as a REVOLUTION. Even the Irish outdid the AA's in terms of scale on that front. As said, I will agree with the fact that the South was very powerful and raking in the dough from slavery itself (prior to the cotton gin at least) but, once again, I really dont think AA's had the heart for true revolt the way many in the Caribbean and Latin America did...precisely because the conditions were not as horrific.

I'm getting sick and tired of you derailing every topic on the Root into some dumbass tribal war. Last warning.Does not matter. The faux "pro-black" African American talk is ultimately pointless. English must not be your first language...Once again, this is not entirely. The very fact that the population of slaves exploded in the US colonies was entirely due to the fact that they fared far better and were subject to better conditions in order for the population to thrive. Once again, the "1# system for white supremacy" talk does not even really hold up to history. The US was an extremely fractured place, fighting on a number of fronts against numerous European/Latin American powers.
NO.
IT.
HAS.
NOT.
White economic prosperity and American adherence to efficient models of governance such as those seen in Germany and UK.
Lets be real out here, I am the first to criticize those who come to America and shyt on AA's despite the benefits accrued from Civil Rights. But you're a fool if you're going to try and sell to anyone, the idea that Civil Rights was somehow solely responsible for social progress in the western world. Seriously, how paltry is your education. AA's would come to France and talk about how much better they fared in terms of rights and general treatment. You think civil rights was suddenly the moment when western countries legislated fair treatment of minorities? You do know Jim Crow is an exclusively American phenomenon right?
In fact, much of the immigration explosion following the way can be attributed to competition with the Soviet Union. The US could simply not afford to uphold its whites only ethnostate policy. The real fear Americans had with the like of MLK was his pivoting towards socialist/communist political leanings...in an age where Russia was pounding the US on a number of fronts, it would have been a political disaster to have a large chunk of the black/hispanic population mobilizing a communist movement on US soil.
Stop selling this rubbish narrative of US blacks being some kind of unique arbiter of minority rights in the western world. Its a massive fukking farce with no historical backing of any kind.

Black american pop explosion fluctuated based on the country itself. The united states is a bigger country than the ones your comparing it to. You had similar pop explosions in large countries such as Brazil
