Did J Cole pick a side??? He’s featured on Future and Metro’s new album. A$AP and Weeknd throwing shots too 😳

To me yea. Like I said, it seems like Future was recruiting nikkas to go at Drake. Budden or someone else said there is a verse of Like That w/o Kendrick's verse and instead has another Future verse.
It's more likely that metro recruited people to go at drake.

I think this verse was probably recorded before Kendrick’s verse on Like That and before Cole’s rebuttal. But it makes me wonder why he would release 7 min Drill at all, he HAD to know that this album was coming out with his verse on it and surely someone told him about Kendrick verse on Like That no matter when he recorded it. Either that, or Kendrick told him about t and he made this fake response bullshyt to boost interest for the album.

This whole thing is bizarre as hell.

J. Cole, through sheer hard work, turned himself into one of the best rappers in the game. He was able to erase the image he had in his previous years and make people forget about his low points (Sideline Story, Nas shytting on him for "Work Out," the bad punchlines, producing everything himself). All he had to do was emphasize quality and ask himself if he had really done everything in his power to build a legacy, and it paid off.

In less than a week, all that hard work is going down the drain. Cole's known as a good guy so it's not like he's created enemies over the years, but it's almost like early 2010s Cole took over the current Cole's spirit and he's making all the decisions now. I don't know what to make of this anymore.

:mjlol:So the narrative now is everyone is blindly and unwarrantedly attacking Drake. And Drake hasn’t done anything to deserve this lol.
And that’s the funny part Drake been dissing all these nikkaz on the album. Chris Browm still lowkey don’t fukk with the boy either.

Metro and Future lowkey diabolical and might have checkmated drake.

the fact that they felt they needed him for anything makes them look like bytches.

At least Kendrick can say once he didn't fukk with Drake anymore, he kept it that way to this day. Everyone else pretended to be his buddy even though Drake has kinda shown that this is who he's been forever.

A$AP Rocky can at least have a leg to stand on for why he don't rock with Drake anymore.
This is the most solid take in this thread.

It makes them look just as fake as they claim he is

It’s not like they did one song with him they did plenty

He definitely has for the most part. It seems everyone has a valid reason except for the two people who created these 2 albums.

Future has more of a reason to be mad at Drake when Drake ain't wanna do the video for his first major single Tony Montana. He had more of a reason to be miffed at Drake hopping on tracks Future had already that became What A Time To Be Alive. I'd even be insecure at the idea that Drake boosts my mainstream status as much if not more than anyone else he's around. It just seems like the origin story for these 2 albums is built on bullshyt.

We get it. Drake moves like an absolute goofy. But he was a goofy when they met him. A popular talented goofy, but goofy nonetheless. Kendrick's one of the rare ones who seen how goofy he was and thought, "maybe I don't need to be around him, even if doing more songs with him would push me to the moon." Pusha peeped that shyt early too (even though his issues with Drake and Wayne were predicated on some of the dumbest shyt imaginable). Someone like Rick Ross all of a sudden wanting to pick sides? Corny. Nax picking sides when nobody asked or cared for his stance? Corny. J. Cole wanting to turn into Switzerland after all this tough talk? Corny. Kendrick is the only one who can look in the mirror and not wonder "what the hell am I doing?"

Future been not fukking with Drake and they have had ups and downs through the years. Drake probably fukked one of futures bytches that he liked that out the nail in the coffin. He probably fukked one of Metros tings he was schemin on Bella Hadid when the weeknd was with her. With ASAP he came at the mother of his children and tried to low bro him.
All of them seem to have a solid case. Yes Drake gave them the stimulus but let’s not act like he a saint in this situation. Drake is a habitual line stepper.

Only one who keep it fukk you was Kendrick nikka stayed far away from him after good kid maad city.
