Eminem had me feeling like he was the best rapper alive following recovery. He destroyed jay on seduction and wayne got that work too on their colab.
I love that album,i feel Recovery,Slim shady lp and The Marshall mathers LP are absolute classics

Arena rap would be songs like 'Love The Way You Lie', which I am unsure is the first of it's kind, given songs like 'Love Your Life' preceded it, as well as 'Empire State Of Mind', and 'Can't Tell Me Nothing'. I think some of those songs are dope, but my thinking is that they became more and more calculated and designed to attract a certain kind of crowd. 'Love The Way You Lie' may have pushed that style forward.

I never really fukked with Eminem, this album wasn't great by any means, but I found a few songs listenable, esp. that summer, I had a 'financial setback', and I remember finding a minor kind of solidarity in the kind of odds overwhelming production style.

Sidenote: 25 to Life was dope. Only Em could pull off the cliche "make a song about hip hop that sounds like ur talking about a female" thing the way he did. First time I heard, I was like

:stopitslime: Another track bashing broads from this fukkboy

It took me all the way up until he says "Hip-Hop" in his last verse for me to be like :ohhh:

Yeah, that was a favorite of mine from summer 2010. I loved the beat, but I wanted to hear someone like Budden over that....He would kill '25 To Life', someone should tweet him that.

I don't know if I would have preferred the extended metaphor or a personal relationship.....With Eminem, he gets to corny to me, it doesn't matter.

I don't think she understands the sacrifices that I made...
But maybe if this bytch had acted right, I would've stayed

the song is a metaphor for hip hop, its no different than any other random battle verse where a rapper is seeing he's the best lol

Eminem said he was scared to diss Kanye and Lil Wayne out his own mouth lol

Em basically sonned Wayne on No Love, and he just let it happen. it was either that or Em would of just bodied him and ruin his career. he couldn't compete. everybody was on Em's side back when Recovery dropped. it was basically his comeback to rap.

Ehh, that's a stretch. Plus, Em still says that he listens to new Wayne. He could be lying but I don't think so. :yeshrug:

No Love is completely a subliminal diss towards Wayne, just read the lyrics. even the description of the song mentions it as a Wayne diss.

he main theme of the third single off ofRecoveryremains a point of controversy. While many believe it to be a personification of Hip-Hop (with another notable mention on the album being“25 To Life”), others believe it’s an extended version of the alleged subtleLil Wayne dissonNot Afraid, however it’s worth mentioning no tangible evidence has been provided to support this theory and the fanbase is far from being unanimous about it.
All in all, the song is a wake up call to the Rap industry with Eminem himself expressing his thoughts aboutits stagnancyduring his hiatus following Encore.
The beat – by mega-producer Just Blaze – samples Haddaway’s 90s pop-techno hit“What Is Love?”(you might remember it as the theme song fromA Night at the Roxbury).
Eminem & Lil Wayne were previously featured on Drake’s 2009 single,“Forever”together, and Eminem the year before also featured on Wayne’s single,“Drop The World”.

another interesting line on this CD is from Not Afraid

You said you was king, you lied through your teeth
For that fukk your feelings
Instead of getting crowned you're getting capped

back in 2010 Wayne had to get 8 Root Canals, this was before the album dropped in June.

Lil Wayne just had one of the gnarliest oral surgeries in the history of dentistry. We're told it was a marathon session that included a stomach-turning eight root canals at one time.

Our sources say Wayne went under the drill on Tuesday.

We're told during the eight hour procedure, Wayne had his grill worked on, several tooth implants redone, more implants added and had the few real teeth he had left repaired.

This is the critical dental surgery that kept Wayne from being shipped off to the big house last week.

The judge allowed the rapper to put his sentence for felony attempted gun possession on hold until March 2 -- enough time for Wayne to get his mouth prison-ready.

If that's even possible.
