and it is coincidently generaly the opinion of listeners online born after 91' for some reason.

The "Jada won" talking point was not the prevailing opinion in real life offline in the culture, in media or among listeners of age.

DMX enlisted to help out Jada later late 2001 on "Here We Go Again" somewhat steals the show with a Jigga Diss " Shoot the crown of your head"

I'm not saying even Beans won. It seemed at the end it fizzled out Beans went on to promote his various State Prop movies clothing, and court cases

I think toe to toe is indeed appropriate for this particular battle in the effect of I can’t be mad if anyone says Jada got the upper hand and I can’t be mad if anyone says Beans got the upper hand. They REALLY did go punch for punch on some 15 round Thrilla In Manilla shyt. Whereas you take something like Nas/Jay-Z was more like Rumble In The Jungle where Jay landed several blows that would knock out a lessor opponent but Nas prevailed and delivered a knock out combination that was undeniably the W.

Jada/Beans didn’t have that ONE Knockout punch where it made undeniable that either won. It was just a great display of rapping

we talk about narrative but when Beans said "I can see why the call Styles the Ghost of this shyt, I can tell by your style he wrote most of your shyt"


Kind of hard to believe now but at that time really sowed some doubt about Jada as a rapper and there was murmuring in real time about Jada ryhmes being ghostwritten by Styles especially when Styles profile as a solo rapper began to rise with hit "Good Times"

And l remember it was a REAL narrative in the culture at the time about Jada with varying degrees of believability but got put to bed later and quickly.
