Did AZ get his name from Azie Fasion??

Because of Clarence X and The Nation of Gods and Earths the name AZ was actually common in NYC in the 80's/early 90's...Everyone was an AZ, Born, Knowledge, Just, Black, Supreme, Wiz etc...

It was as common as "Lil Jo-Jo" or "Young Petey" is in the South or midwest...


There was probably like 10 AZ's on every city block at one point...
