when you stop to think about it, everybody he killed were either ones commiting crime or ones fighting crime. this includes the mob, the police, and the judicial system. the CLOSEST would of been that one batman-wannabe, but even with THAT he was someone that VOLUNTEERED to be part of someone fighting crime.

the ferry was the CIVILIANS CHOICE... and even with that we wasn't sure if he was going to really do whut he claim he was gonna do. (his word is never trusted)

2nd, it wasn't luck at all. he wanted diversion so he could get to dent. he wanted the hospital cleared.

My theory is that the Joker is a senseless criminal but I think that he wanted to essentially show Batman that he could create chaos using his own code of ethics and with as much planning and thought as Batman used. The Joker just did just to say he could. His level of organization was epic and that's why Batman realized that he had to take the Joker seriously, because the Joker had figured out his thought process. Also he killed Maggie Gyllenhall albeit indirectly and it was through Batman's indecision.

Because he wanted to make a huge name for himself within the criminal world. So in order to do that you had to go for the heads of those on both sides of justice. He played both of them in order to let them all know that he was the new man in town. Attacking civilians would be useless. I think he said that. And he actually used civilians as pawns to mindfukk the justice department like the hospital bombing and when he taped them up disguising them as his henchmen. Civilians were too valuable to Joker to simply kill them for nothing. They were small fish he sometimes used altogether to hit sharks and whales.

Is Two Face going to be in this new Batman? I hope so because it woudl suck

Plus he didn't give a fukk who he ran over during that chase scene. Also at the party, i'm pretty sure he would've killed pops if ol girl didn't step in.

Joker had no "code".

we're not talking about "would of" or being speculative... i'm saying whut he DID NOT DO.

he WOULD OF killed all of those people at the party, but he didn't. the fact remains nobody he killed were civilians, they were either part of the LAW fighting crime or the ones committing crime.

i agree somewhut in saying they were of value. the joker had an ideology and he wanted to change gotham to live life in the same ideology that he goes by. so i agree, killing civilians would of been pointless, although he DID want to push the envelope to show how far civilians can do themselves in. i think that's the whole philosophical debate batman and the joker were having at the end, batman believed in gotham the same as harvey dent once did, but the joker, proving how he changed dent, believed that even the BEST can go to sh!t and wanted the people to remove themselves from control of the law or moral codes...
