conveniences galore, characters that are supposed to be smart behaving illogically, the guards being inept beyond reason, violent criminals having the freedom to do basically whatever they please with little to no supervision, no security cameras in the entire prison, etc.
that show featured the single dumbest subplot i have ever seen. it was in season 1 when the guards framed jefferson keane into a violent murder by luring him into the rec room. if you've ever seen it, there are literally 100 reasons why it would have never ever worked.
amazing characters, amazing performances, great world building... but the writing was sloppy and lazy.
