What is interesting is seeing that this is being framed as Dexter's life flashing before his eyes after he got shot and getting CPR, which opens the door for them to bring him back.
Clyde Phillips said his OG ending was Dexter's life flashing before his eyes before being executed, so this might either be homage to his vision or a set up for another way to end the show. Interesting.
