i'm sayin i never ever got the hype with him at all

lookin back at it was such a weird era for him to get that type of push

It was probably a bad time for him. He wasn’t the right dude to come in and try to change that shiny suit shyt. Had he come after DMX or more around 2000 he might have done better. Plus putting him with Wyclef was a terrible idea. His first album should have been on some illlmatic shyt with Premo, Havoc, Buckwild etc

he was rocking with the Lost Boyz/LB Fam a lot early on, if he'd stuck with them fully as his team, collabing, Exec-Producing, and helping guide the direction of his projects I think it would had worked out good. Bink Dawg & Easy Mo B beats. Posse cuts. Wyclef was obviously very wrong for him, but so was Canibus himself, as we continued to see after that. He's the type that really truly needed the right team & Executive Production to guide him to greatness, and steer him from the corny shyt... Oh well. I think it's pretty clear that he would've still gotten in his own way soon enough anyway.

this track isnt particularly too crazy or anything, I just think its interesting how hard he was repping LB Fam here, & on all they early collabs, and then he just stepped away into his own corny world by himself.

The year 3030
shoulda continued working with stopue

While his post RtJ have been good overall, still doesn't have the perfect chemistry RtJ had. Although those Bronze Nazareth tapes weren't half bad.
