Decided to finish my playthrough today to make more time free for Spidey and and it's like most David Cage games. A story written without any nuance filled with hundreds of genre tropes, that somehow still works because the flow chart process and seeing how much different ways you can go is just incredible. I also have to emphasize that the one story thing they get absolutely right is that the rewards for doing the right thing over the selfish thing are often greater. It's a simple idea that seems so easy to follow, except the further you get in the game, the more stressed you are to not take big risks and go for the quickest way out that is presented to you. Cage knows how to direct the story and the game, he just really needs to find a couple of talented folks to write it.

Just beat the game. 
Incredible. Idunno if I'd give it GOTY since I beat Spider-Man a few days ago and that's a strong contender for me, but... If this won awards, I wouldn't be mad.
This game really punishes you for taking the peaceful way out though, I gotta say.

I bought damn near everything I wanted for the low last year Black Friday and recently on two PSN sales. This year I'm copping a Pro Bundle, kiwami 2 steelbook, yakuza 6, and persona 5. I'll be more than good until the prices hit rock bottom on these shyts (Detroit, Spidey, GoW).
I still have a shyt load of games to finish from the PS3 era
Only games I'll cop at a $30 - $40 range is Kingdom Hearts 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 bc they will never drop

Just started playing this
Copped for Black Friday and just finished. On 4K I would call it a master piece. So emotionally conflicted all game, the decision making tied to the alternate endings were amazing. Definitely would recommend and will replay a couple more times
