Cain is a midget he will get punished and obliterated just like Cornier did
Stop it. DC was doing good till he gassed and even then most of the fight was clinching. Jones never even once came close to finishing DC so what did he obliterate? More like did enough to get the decision.

the fight went pretty much how i expected. cormier did a good job of getting inside but just didn't have the power and stamina to do serious damage.

after watching the fight a second time, i think it's safe to say jones wrestling is actually better than cormier. he was dominating the clinching and was in control most of the time:wow:

Good, he was losing. Yea, he was so gassed he managed to pick Jon up for a body slam. Stop it. He got mind fukked and crushed. The fatigue played a small factor. He knew he couldnt make jon quit and crumbled under the pressure, knowing he was facing, THE ONE!

Uhm yeah, he was pretty gassed, hence why Jones was able to scoop his legs so easily against the cage. As far as the slam, dudes stronger than shyt and a great wrestler, wouldn't take much gas for him to do so when the opportunity presented itself. Dude let emotions and ego fukk up his game plan, he def let Jon in his head, but don't act like he wasn't holding his own:ufdup:

DC has the tools to beat him, his prob is that his ego made him be so fukking determined to want to simply out wrestle Jon. He wasted too much time trying out clinch a great Greco roman wrestler with greater size and and leverage and basically got worn down because of it, that and not defending those body shots didn't help matters. His only concern with the clinch shouldve been to land strikes, then release, and utilize footwork and angles to stay in punching distance and continue to land to not only do damage but set up takedowns. Then once he had him on the ground he would have to concentrate on keeping him there...basically stay on him like stink on shyt and pound him out nh. Trying to stand there and out muscle him was a bad idea.

:mindblown:

No it didn't. Do you watch MMA? :damn:

Cain has a pretty good chin and very good recovery. Other than getting finished by JDS and getting dropped by Kongo (although he recovered very well) Cain's chin has held up well in his career. Jones doesn't have the power to hurt Cain.

Yep. Cain can be rocked but it's not like he's Overeem where it's a guarantee he goes down if you crack him

Until age and injury catches up to him you're not likely beating Cain unless you have the power to drop him with one shot like or submit you him somehow

I don't see how you win a decision against a 240lb cat who can press you relentlessly and doesn't tire even if you're Jon Jones.

what weight do we contest it at? Does Jon keep his gifts if he fights Cain at his walk around weight of around 230ish

Cain last 3 fights proved the same thing he didn't finish jds and that Bigfoot fight was the worst. Cain weakest part is his chin. Jones ain't testing nikkas chins but he will test their knee which I think will chop down Cain various of leg kicks for the victory.

This is a myth. I swear a guy can get KO'd one time and all of the sudden he's Overeem with a weak chin. He took some of JDS best shots in their last two fights and still pressed forward and beat the shyt out of him. Jones can attack the knee and leg of Cain but I doubt that will stop Cain advancing on him. And he won't stop with the clinch strikes like DC did last night. The man. to qoute the man with a PHD in mental gymnastics, don't get tired. Like the breh said earlier in this thread, we won't know how Jones will look moving up. We won't know if he has the footwork or cardio. We know Cain will. Plus he will be fighting guys 15-20lbs bigger then whats he use too. Its not like guys jumping between lw and ww. HW is a whole nother ball game. Look at Fabio. Chin is legendary at 205 and he got starched easily by Stipe, who isn't even a heavy handed striker in HW.

Ain't no myth. That's truth along with Brock.

As far as jones vs Cain I still believe it should be a catch weight. If what jones was saying last night is true. Him being more around Arizona this training camp he could barely keep weight. So I think a catch weight would be ideal. But no title should be on the line

everything you said was true, but jon is just a better fighter, mentally, he knows how to win

Those body shots in the first round took away cormier's energy for take downs, he really didn't out wrestle cormier, wrestling wasn't even a factor in this fight jon's take downs were meh, except for the last one, which was more like a trip as was the first take down, being in the clinch in a fight is different than a wrestling match because you have to worry about being elbowed and kneed

put like I said when I mentioned silva trained with jon for this fight, I knew he was gonna do something different he never did before, I didn't notice because I've only viewed the fight once, but cormier mentioned jon would counter him while moving back, which is something he didn't expect, and Anderson Silva knows how to fight going backwards, ie how he KO'd Griffen he was going back as he threw the punch

jones fight IQ is just too high, he's gonna beat gus easily than his fight with cormier in their rematch, he's constantly adding skills to his game no other fighter is doing this

Yeah I'm saying. Getting punched right behind your ear by fukking JDS is gonna put damn near everyone out regardless of chin. This is like saying OHHH Anderson has a weak chin, exposed! after Weizmann caught him clean.
