pretty good for a first show ever :ehh:
and it this point it's already better than any late night show out there and will keep on improving once they hit their stride :ehh:

I will continue to tune in and support the movement :myman:

one of the worst parts about Vice as a channel is the lack of content
they show the same shyt over and over and over and to be real about it there's only so many times I can watch Weediquette, Black Market Dispatches, etc and it really seems like they show the same 4 or five episodes of every show on a near-daily basis. they're sorely lacking new content and to be real about it half of that shyt is their Action Bronson fetish, poverty porn that's focused on people of color(Black people to be really real about it) literally 95% of the time, or that gay imperialism show, Gaycation

I think Desus & Mero is Vice's first real attempt to having consistently new content during the week and I think the brehs will do an admirable job. Of course their not gonna knock it outta the park right off the bat but if you know anything at all about these cats you know they've captured lightning in a bottle. Their chemistry is top notch and they're just naturally funny dudes with minimal, if any scripting. This is just hilarious cats that happen to be longtime friends talking shyt about life and whatever's in the news.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, compare them to other late night shows in or around their time slot. Trevor Noah? trash. Jimmy Kimmel? Trash. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver? Trash. Jimmy Fallon? Trash. to be fair, comparing Desus and Mero to those shows may be apples and oranges and me calling them trash is obviously a matter of my personal preference. They're prolly more like a combination of PTI and Tosh.0 if that makes any sense.

and yes, I :cape: for these brehs so hard because I'm one of those dudes that's known about them since day 1, and the achievements they've made in such a short time are amazing. In a few short years they've gone from trolling and clowning the shyt out of people on twitter, to the podcast, the the Complex series, to MTV2, and now to a nightly show on Vice. I feel invested at this point and I want to see them succeed. :yeshrug:

if you don't like the show so far, coo :manny:
but don't count these dudes out

I hear you on the Vice channel's limited program lineup but I think it will get better over time. Think OWN, it took a few years, but they now have 2 or 3 critically acclaimed shows. If OWN ain't your thing, oldheads like me remember when the FOX broadcast channel was just Simpsons, Tracey Ullman, Married With Children, News, rinse/wash/repeat. Desus & Mero is perfect for the network as its their first real foray into semi real-time content like you mentioned whereas everything else is more documentary in nature.
