According to Cowley on a podcast. The real problem is between Pax and Thib. Gar and Thibs talk. They aren't best friends.

The Chi (South Side)
TAJ DOES SUCH A GREAT JOB AT STAYING IN FRONT OF KYRIE
AND FORCING HIM TO FINISH OVER HIM
IN THE PAINT...

WHEN THEY SET THE SCREEN WITH
NOAH/PAUS MAN

THESE DUDES ARE 10 FEET OFF KYRIE
WHICH GIVES HIM THE EASY PULL UP
AND MOMENTUM TO DRIVE TO THE RIM
WITH A EURO STEP
AND MAKE A LAYUP.

TAJ IS UP ON HIM AS SOON AS THE SCREEN COMES
SO THERE ARE NO PULL UPS
AND HES QUICK ENOUGH TO STAY IN FRONT OF HIM
FORCING A TOUGH FINISH.
THIS ALLOWS ROSE TO GET BACK INTO THE PLAY
AND BLOCK A SHOT
OR SECURE A REBOUND.

WE DEFINITELY CANT MOVE TAJ THIS SUMMER.

especially with :noah: on the decline. plus taj can play both PF and C.

Just a Kid From Chicago
2011 LeBron vs. Bulls in the playoffs:
  • overall FG 46%, but shooting 39% on jumpers in the series (averaged around 12 jumper attempts per game)/ 'shooting' 54% in the paint (averaged 7 attempts in the paint).
2013 LeBron vs Bulls in the Playoffs
  • overall FG 47%, but shooting 30% on Jumpers (averaged 7 jumpers per game) /'shooting' 56% in the paint (averaged around 9 shot attempts in the paint).
2015 LeBron vs. Bulls in the playoffs (thus far)
  • overall FG 39%, shooting 20% on jumpers (averaging 11 jumper attempts per game) /'shooting' 57% in the paint (averaging 13 shot attempts in the paint)
I didn't include 2010 LeBron James #'s because we're so far removed from that time, that player, and those teams, that it's pointless. But, as the numbers shows, LeBron's jumper BEEN broke vs the Bulls. He's always did his thing in the paint. It's just that he doesn't clearly have better team this time around, nor does he have dudes like Bosh and Wade to cover for his less than stellar performances, that this stuff is getting exposed.

As is indicative of his usage rating - you ask him to do more, and as his usage percentage goes up, them numbers are bound to take a dip - not to mention that he isn't athletically the same.

There ain't no chill mode this time around. Keep launching up those bricks .
