Rose 1st half was shaky but he had a really good 3rd qt. Even shot a few from midrange.

Unfortunately with kirk and dunleavy next to him His scoring is going to be more needed. Rose don't need to abandon the 3 but he need to go to his mid range a little more but teams are giving him that 3. If he stops taking them then it becomes easier for defenses to defend us.
He took two midrange shots all game. shyt ain't enough. I want him to abandon the three altogether. He took 66 threes in his second season. There's no reason he can't do the same now. Him limiting his threes will have basically no impact on how teams defend the team overall, he can find those seams near the elbow almost everytime he takes a three. Teams collapse in the paint and soon as he takes one step inside the arc - from the foul line up it's empty - that's why dudes are always open in that area once he kicks it out on drives.

08/09 season - 0.9 attempts per game
09/10 season - 0.8 attempts per game (he took over 1000 jumpers at 46% - like who the fukk can do that?!)
10/11 season - 4.8 attempts per game
11/12 season - 4.4 attempts per game
12/13 season - 4.7 attempts per game

Besides taking on more of an offensive load in 10/11 and going forward, it's no wonder his shooting% dropped from everywhere on the floor (outside the rim).

I want midrange-Rose back :birdman:

The great thing I saw about Rose last night is he, literally, was taking what they gave him...And he didn't hesitate one bit. Took the 3's in rhythm, which made the defender bite on his pump fakes for those midrange attempts....Loved how he pushed the issue in transition... I really don't get the sense he's pressing....I like it

Pau is not a all star anymore

But he is a upgrade over boozer in every facet of the game.

I do agree that more should have been put into getting a wing, but did you see our rim protection? And pau unlike booze took those match ups personally. And out defense don't suffer with him on the floor. Dude just know how to rotate. Boozer couldn't move with his cement shoes on.

I still think we need that 2/3 and it will be more evident vs the cavs.

pau is light years better than boozer and cost less than 1/2 of what boozer does. can't really complain about that.

I want the midrange back too. But he can't abandon the 3 all together. Especially when he such a threat going to the rim. Teams not fearing his 3 kills his personal spacing in order to get past defenders and penetrate defenses. Teams can't believe he won't take then they can space on him and kill his ability to drive and kick. So he has to take a few especially if he wide open. I do agree he should shoot the mid range more tho.

Pau saw a bad defender on him last night and went after him. Boozer wouldn't have done that. Pau started terrible but continued to attack. Booze would have disengaged and started screaming at everybody. Pau/noah pau/Taj pretty much locked the rim down. No lay ups. when we had boozer lay ups in his side of the rim was daily.

And for half the price, yea we good with ole pau. Him on lazy mode>> boozer.

He didn't have any problems with spacing and penetrating defenses, II, in his first two seasons, when he barely took any threes :sas2:

I just feel as though the three will always be outta his range, he'll get hot a game or two, then it'll be averaged out by more cold ones. Harder for him to develop a proper rhythm if he's opting to take a 3 over his bread and butter. :manny:

you do realize how hard it is to avg that he just needs to make the best play. You get way too hung up in position and numbers.
