and why did brooks play like 5 minutes total???? that's idiotic. at least he can shoot.

mirotic needs to play the PF. him playing the SF negates all the advantages of his skillset.

He only played minutes because Kidd was out there playing chess and Thibs was playing checkers. He knows Thibs is only gonna play Brooks if Bayless is on the floor. Bayless didn't play much so that's why you didn't see Brooks. Instead, you saw a Rose who was off and turning the ball over for the whole game...

He played a little to kick off the year. Then he had knee surgery mid-season and hasn't really seen the floor since coming back.

I was shocked about that . I don't watch the bulls regularly is it the injuries that's fukked up your defense ?

some of it is bad coaching decisions, injuries, and bad personnel

I do. and i was a HUGE thibs supporter and giving him sort of pass, but we're saying the same thing about thibs every year. its frustrating and as a fan I dont feel like going through another pissing contest between he and the FO for another couple of years. its annoying

I posted this a few weeks back. I still feel it applies

Noah is 30 with knee issues
Taj is 29 and has had ankle issues all season
Rose has had knee issues(obviously)
Brooks is a shrimp and a poor defender
Pau is 34 with a lot of miles on those tires
Hinrich is 34 and broken down
Dunleavy is 34 and was never known as a great defender

Combine all that together and you get what we've seen on defense all year. This team needs an injection of youth/athleticism badly

Keep in mind Noah's "minor" knee procedure this past off-season turned out to be not minor

Both Noah and the Bulls acknowledged on the eve of training camp that a longer recovery period prohibited Noah from playing full court all offseason.

And Noah has remained on minutes restrictions all season.

"It was more than a scope," Noah said. "That's what it was supposed to be. So it definitely took longer than we expected. But it's nothing that I can't recover from and be back 100 percent and be right."
