Bulls fans have flocked north in recent years during the regular season, often forming a majority of the BMO Harris Bradley Center crowd. When the two teams played on April 1 in Milwaukee, the Bucks snapped a nine-game home losing skid to Chicago with a 95-91 victory and sent the Bulls fans home unhappy.
“I would say it’s going to be a very long, long, lonely drive home to west Chicago after the games here,” Dinan said. “That’s my advice, OK. Stay home, because you’re going to be really lonely and sad on that long ride home.”
(Co-owner Marc) Lasry said the Bucks have performed well on the court in the new owners’ first year, after Wes Edens, Lasry and Dinan purchased the team. The ownership group hired Jason Kidd as coach and he led the Bucks to a 41-41 record after the team finished 15-67 the previous season. [...] “We haven’t exceeded my expectations,” Lasry said. “We’ve still got to win the championship. We’ve still got plenty of room. But look, let’s be honest. Last year we were the worst team. This year we’re in the playoffs. Did we think we were going to do that? I sure was hoping we were going to do that. That was one of our dreams.”
