Not too worried considering its pre season. Our core has been playing half time or less and done rather well.

Once the minutes ramp up for the important guys we'll be alright.

Or even Dieng or Plumlee and spent the FA money on Lance instead of signing Pau to a 3 year deal and brought Mirotic over.

it's always easy to fix the roster via hindsight using knowledge we have now after the draft is over. but I agree with you on the lance thing. they need shot creators in the worst way at the wing position, and if they weren't gonna go after AA who was available for next to nothing, they should have tried to sign lance.

I'd prefer them starting simply cuz they could improve with playing time whereas MDJ ain't gonna improve at this point in his career. I don't care about trading two picks for dougie since we weren't gonna bring in two rookies with the 16/19 picks and play them meaningful minutes. might as well have one player who will more likely get to play more than two who don't.

Im not changing my tune - I always preferred a wing over Gasol since we had Taj/Mirotic. My posting history will back that up

my thing was ... we are still stacked regardless and Im not going to go into this season on some doom/gloom shyt because we didnt land Melo

I always said Lance >> Pau

I was gassed as hell over summer league and I still think Doug will be a player. Its gonna take some time tho

That's not hindsight.

We went into the draft last year after having Nazr as our backup center for the previous two years. Getting a big was a huge need, a lot of people wanted Dieng because he was a young athletic big with big defensive potential.

We drafted a 3/2 shooter/scorer that can neither shoot or score.

It's not using hindsight to know that, drafting a 3/4, signing an aging 4 that's gonna want to start to a 3 year contract when we already had a 4 that's shown he can be a starter in the league, then brought over a 4 they've been hyping up for the last 3 years was gonna cause a logjam unless a move swapping Taj for a perimeter player was made.

It's not hindsight to know that not getting a shot creator would again haunt us. We've needed one since BG left, Lance was for most of us I'd say, the #1 target after guys like Melo and Love were off the table.

Taj should not be starting over pau he can't shoot,pass(that nikka never passes the ball out of doubles or when he gets it on the block) or have post moves like pau and taj struggles vs players with length just like boozer

Pau at the 5 and taj at the 4 with noah off the bench makes more sense than starting taj over pau

Pau's body language kills me... At times he sulks around like a little bytch and you could see it last night... Andy was dogging the shyt out of him... I just don't trust pau for a consistent effort

Besides the second unit is gonna have trouble scoring anyway

Yep - Im already seeing things I dont like about him

then Mirotic comes in, going 100%, taking dudes off the dribble, running the break, getting grimy on defense even though his on ball D aint shyt yet

I saw it when he was in LA

That's why I didn't care to get him... He's extremely skilled but he breaks mentally too easily...

Mirotic looks solid, he needs to pull the trigger more but I like the effort he gives on defense and overall

Taj does the same thing.When he doesn't get a call he cries and ice grills the refs just like wade does.Taj was so busy cryin to the ref on one play he let varejo out run him in transition and get an easy lay up.You have to take the good with the bad with both players.Varejo was sonning pau cuz he went for every pump fake like varejo is dirk or some shyt.2nd unit shouldn't have trouble scoring once chemistry is established Noah would be better in that point center role with the 2nd unit than the 1st imo

can someone explain to me why Noah is still having issues with his knee if it was a MINOR operation that happened like 4-5 months ago?

im worried this is going to turn into a serious issue

he hasnt looked like Noah yet this season .. but he often needs to play himself into shape so I dunno
