Thibs went all bench in the 2nd qt and damn near got ran out the building. At what point do we realize rookies on they level don't play major roles on championship teams?

We had 2 important games this entire season and the rookies wet the bed in both of them. They not the answer. Jimmy has to log those kind of minutes in those kind of games

We need another cheap 3 and d guy. Appears snell not going to cut it here for whatever reason. But Doug and Niko need to develop slowly.

Playing rooks is cool for long term plans. We need to be thinking going for it all now. Cleveland will be much better next season and no telling what happens in the west. We have no time for experimenting with youngsters. You win rings with vets and experience. Nothing Doug or Niko has done has shown me they will make this huge leap in year 1. They both need a couple of years.

We aren't playing them any minutes to get them acclimated - they are going to end up like Tony Snell. You can't have 3 guys that you're basically saying aren't good enough to play and then have Aaron Brooks a 3rd PG/contigency plan. You realize you have a 2 player bench right, with Kirk and Taj. This is against inferior comp.

the whole reason for Niko coming over was that he would play and learn quickly as he's pretty much a pro as is.

Doug was supposedly the most ready to go prospect - you gotta let them take lumps and get in the rhythm. It's ridiculous that Thibs is playing Butler , deng minutes against sub-500 teams

I'm not gonna be a game-log whore but just like i thought

Snell got benched for what looks to be no reason - had a couple solid games and then disappeared.

McDermott same thing

Niko had 1 poor game and has been benched.

Brooks has shown to be one of the more consistent bench players - but Rose comes back and he disappears. Now I know Hinrich is there for defense but Brooks has been outplaying him for the most part this season.

I'm with @Perfectson on this issue brehs...

Been advocating for years that Thibs gets his bench in order to be ready come crunch time. He has more weapons than ever right now and he's not letting them get any burn. Now I know they've looked bad sometimes, but that's expected for young players. Tony Snell is getting absolutely shytted on and I have no idea why. He played well in the Cleveland game, he's looked fine in every game really to me, so I don't know what the deal is with that.

Niko has looked well when he's gotten a groove going. I like what he brings to the table. He needs to stop committing those soft ass Euro fouls though... he had one game where he gave up like 3 and 1s


Doug McBuckets can score, but his D is a work in progress like we all thought would be the case. He just can't catch a break when he's out there, there are a lot of times where the refs just put a bullshyt foul on him, and then Thibs yanks him. Dude needs to be out there to get a sweat going at least in order to contribute on offense. In the scarce time that he's gotten so far, he's shown flashes of being able to get buckets.

Lets not forget that Thibs did the same shyt to Jimmy Butler. The only reason he got burn is because Deng got hurt. We have more than enough players to give guys spells and not wear them out. But...

Thibs gives the young guys chances, but when they fukk up on defense or foul stupidly, he benches them for the rest of the game.

Thibs plays those rooks 2nd half we lose in toronto.

You don't win a championship with rookies playing significant minutes. It just doesn't happen. And we don't have the luxury to cover the mistakes from youngsters with super stars. Rose and pau Are not enough talent to compensate for young mistakes like say cleveland can so since they have Bron kyrie and love or spurs can do since they have ginobli parker and duncan and kawhi.

All I'm saying is, games like tonight , sure they can get the tick but games like Thursday thibs was right for leaving them on the bench.
