Anybody strictly playing by themselves
I played the first one equally by myself and with people I met online.
What I didn't like about the first one was the need to have people with you to do certain levels.
The way Diablo 3 handles level progression, item drops and management, is FAR better than Destiny.
Destiny should scale the game according to however many members you have in a party instead of forcing you to have X amount of people to do which ever level.
Brehs that have played Destiny more than can correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I remember, it is impossible to complete all of Desitiny's content by yourself.

The problem I find with multiplayer focused games like this is I always feel like if you don't get the game day one and play for an absurd amount of time to try and max your character before anyone else, you might as well not even play. (Im not saying that's how this game is necessarily, I'm just saying that's how I feel). It's like, if you don't jump on early, it's pointless cause everyone else has moved on to other things within the game, and if you don't start early, you miss out on any chance of competing with anyone on the top levels of the game.

This why I really didn't play last Destiny and I am making sure that's not the case this time

Only the end game PVP has level advantages enabled, so you could play any of the PVP modes other than Trials of Osiris or Iron Banner as a level 1 and still compete equally. Sure, people will have different guns and armor, but it is primarily skill based and you should be able to compete regardless. Also, the rewards system is random, so you could go 1 and 25 and still have the same chance at good loot as the top player in the match.

I dont think anyone is moving on anytime soon. D1 still had an active community just last week. Trials, the last Iron Banner were both still full of noobs and elites alike.

Not trying to force an opinion on you, just making sure you or others are aware that in most PVP content, levels and gear dont matter.

That's good to know.
Still, I can't stand that there were levels that were impossible to solo.
What made it worse for me was that getting a full team together to do some of these levels was a hassle.

I don't have the self control (or interest) in dedicating myself to one game like that. I like to play a bunch of different games and at my own pace.

I am the same way but it is causing me from finishing some games. For example my Ps backlog is huge because I didn’t focus on completing a game. I still have to finish YAKUZA 0 before the remastered release, until dawn horizon on down.

People rush to the top and don't really enjoy the game. There's a week before the raids so I imagine you could probably get some folk to play with you either on their alts or just to kill time

The biggest issue was the if you didn't have a clan/group you couldn't raid, Destiny raid's imo are the GOAT console experience. They've rectified that somewhat with the 'guided games'.
I got D1 late on (TTK expansion) and enjoyed every minute, never felt out of line. If you do get this game, make sure you somehow do the Raids, be it LFG, Guided games, Coli or something else.

Facts, I'm as much as a stan as anyone else on here and I've only put in maybe 4-5hrs so far since release. Gonna be playing this and all the expansions for the 2-3 yrs, no need to rush it. Did that with D1 and now realise a lot of beef I had with that game were self inflicted.

So they got rid of random rolls so grindin for perfect rolls is dead and made everything drops more plentifully throughout the game but now people are complainin about shaders because apparently they're 1 time use for a piece of equipment. You can play for em or you can pay for

You can't make these nikkas happy, it was obvious that they were gonna put something in the game to grind for and I'm not mad about it bein cosmetics. If you care that much about the color of some in game boots then pay for the shyt or shut the hell up but this game brings the most whiny ass people I've ever seen outta all everything I played

its not hard to play somethin else, I wouldn't play anything I was constantly unhappy with but that's just me :manny:

I hate how entitled gamers are but making us grind for shaders & making them one time use is dumb as fukk. It's a clear moneygrab following the Overwatch model. I personally don't care too much but can understand why people might be pissed.
