Destiny 2 ‘Lesbian’ Exotic Items Discovered
Destiny 2 players discover ‘lesbian’ Exotic items in the game. And these are not the only references of LGBTQ characters that Bungie has included in its hugely successful first-person shooter, either.
Destiny 2 becomes one of several major game releases this year to include LGBTQ characters. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Life is Strange: Before the Storm also promise inclusive casts and storylines too.
Destiny 2 Includes Multiple LGBTQ Characters
As Destiny 2 players steadily make their way through the game and unlock more of its loot, fans have discovered two ‘lesbian’ Exotic items. Both of the hard to get pieces of loot hint at female characters who have or have had relationships with other women in the game.
One of these items is Karnstein’s Armlets, a pair of Exotic gauntlets. The gauntlets’ lore explains that the item was created by a female Hunter who included a neuromech trawl so that the gauntlets would scour the world and the mind of everyone it meets for any trace of the Hunter’s wife, who she loved in her first life. The full lore description is below:
“As you test the armlet, a regal voice sounds in your mind. “Listen! I am a Hunter, like you, and I made this armlet to help you in your hunts. Will you help me in mine?
“I remember a woman from my first life. I remember she was mine, my love, my wife. And I was hers, her love, her wife. I remember nothing else except the hole in my heart. I live in hope that she, too, has been reincarnated somewhere on this new Earth.
“I built this armlet with a neuromech trawl. It will scour whatever mind it touches, flesh or machine, for any hint of my beloved. The trawl will drink power to feed you. And if anyone you touch has seen my wife, the trawl will know. If, only and ever if, I have remembered her truly.”
The other lesbian Exotic item is Eriana’s Vengeance, which is one of Destiny 2‘s unlockable ships. The ship’s lore includes a love note left by Eriana-3 to Wei Ning after Ning was killed by Crota during a failed attempt at retaking the moon.
“To Wei Ning— More than anything, I hate the idea that we will be remembered as a tragedy. That’s not true. I reserve that distinction for the monster that took you from me. But I know it’s what you would hate the most. You, who were always so full of laughter.
So now, in this moment, as the ship named for my vengeance flies me and five others to Luna, I will remember the happy times. Our first meeting, in the Tower saloon. Your laugh made the glasses clatter. You bought three rounds for the entire room. Pahanin introduced us. You sat me down next to you and plied me with questions about Stormtrances. All things that on any other night would have annoyed me. But that night—because it was you—I knew then and there that I never wanted to be without you.”
The two Exotic items are not the only examples of gay or lesbian characters within Destiny 2. Devrim Kay, a vendor and ally in the European Dead Zone (EDZ), is also gay and will mention his partner Mark in some lines of dialogue.
These inclusions are incredibly small, but it would surely be a lot stranger if LGBTQ characters were not mentioned in the game at all. Many of the Guardians and other NPCs are fighting for some reason whether it be a lost love, or a life that they’ve had to leave behind and so it makes sense for at least a few of those characters to be in (or to have had) same-sex relationships.

Assuming everyone's 290+ you can do the dogs with a 24 & a follow up 12. 60s overkill, unless your light neccesitates it.
With 24s get everyone in position, throw vortex/solar /pulse grenade, use quick onetime supers (Nova/GG etc) and then lay in with your heavy of choice. Dogs should be below 1/3 health , finish them off in rd2.
Everytime I've done it it's been 24/36 rd1 then mop up rd 2. If you can get 48/60+ more power to you, you should get it down at first try

one thing I want to mention to the heads that ain't Destiny 1 Veterans in here is, DO NOT play the game the way Bungie wants you to play it. Loot cave, double backing in and out of zones to cheese treasure keys, pushing off Atheon, Omnigull boss fight in the hallway instead of the room, almost the entire Crota raid, the list goes on.
in this instance, the spore ball holders were having a hard time getting their bearings in the dog fight but the snipers, that can see everything, were getting to their dogs easy and killing them with 24 stacks.
so why not just regroup after getting 24 stacks at the grotto, which is right in front of the house and an easy reference point, then everyone b-line it to your assigned dogs' flower and set up shop. with that you can one phase, 2 max every time with no confusion
tryna sneak around for 100 stacks and getting seen and caught off guard and disoriented and not finding your dog and not making it back to the room and all that shyt is what Bungie wants

Yeah, with the right set up, everyone should be able to kill their dogs in 1, 2 rounds max.

I'm good with whatever though for real. We had fun last night and at the end we were getting 24 and 36 fairly consistently. Just kept losing our assigned dogs, myself included

So with @Theolodius_Black coming back to us, do we keep our checkpoint, or are we gonna have to run the dogs again since the game goes off the least progressed Guardian’s checkpoint?
I believe that we still go back to the checkpoint we reached last night. If I recall correctly, Theolodius was the one that took us through the checkpoint the first time before we had beaten anything.
