I spit my Drink Out. Congrats to the young Brooklyn boy. Now he has to follow up with hot album which KanYe is clearly executive producing. Technically Drake does have 2 #1 singles though both are Rihanna Features (And they both would of went #1 without him). This is a historic #1 because of how young he is and the fact it's his first single that he uploaded on soundcloud/Youtube in Dec not to mention he basically got a no-name producer (Shout out to Menace, hope you got more fire ready) and paid 200 for the beat. The song just kept climbing and climbing.
It just seems like the more people heard it the more they wanted to hear it again. Of course KanYe helped as "Part 2" is basically a "Panda" promo, Ye doesn't even play the full song, lol but it help in people wanting to hear the full thing. I know people are thinking "1 hit wonder". In any other circumstance I might agree but he's got Ye on his side and I'm sure Ye sees this as a golden oppourtunity. Lil Kim did say "Welcome to the Royal Brooklyn Family" for a reason. First #1 single out of Brooklyn since Hov, Biggie.
*Lil Kim has a #1 song but it was a feature on "Lady Marmaulde". Her highest charting single is "Magic Stick" featuring 50 Cent which peaked at #2.
