its so paradoxical how yall go in on the breh for supposedly "sounding like this" all cause you want/expect him to "sound like that" based solely on where he's from. do yall not see how contradictory that is? you mad at him for sounding like x rappers cause you want him to sound like z rappers

the notion of a region having a certain sound is inherently against the originality/creativity concept that you nikkas that's stuck on the past be basing your arguments on when bashing these young nikkas.

rate his music for what it is, not for what you think it shoulda been just cause he was born in x part of the country

Lol at it being old fashioned and stuck in the past to think that different regions don't have REGIONAL sounds. They do, unless you from a region with no fukking identity that has to latch onto others identities and EMULATE what they are doing, their styles and dress is one thing but now it's the voices and intonations :russ::russ:

If you don't see how funny that is then you really gotta ride for Iggy Azalea or any foreigner coming here and taking ownership of some other regions styles as their own. It's weak mimicry to me. I mean you gonna listen to an album of someone pretending to be someone else to appeal Or is he gonna have to sound like himself at some point?

the internet damn near killed "regional sounds". you guys demand people be original while simultaneously demanding they stick to a template based solely on where they are from, that is an old fashioned way of thinking, and imo, its dumb and conflicting. granted more often than not the place that you grow up in will influence and likely shape your art but to me there is nothing inherently wrong to break away from the expected mould.

furthermore, your post makes too many life assumptions, its the typical "observation; clouds. conclusion; dinosaurs" type of reasoning. you know little to nothing about these dudes except "they're from NYC" and "to me, they sound like a southern rapper" so you jump to "they are not being themselves", that is flawed logic if i ever seen one.

culture is fluid and ever changing, especially when speaking of ethnic minorities demographics since we pretty much stick to ourselves, it just so happens that now we are able to stick with "ourselves" across the country, an anecdotal example but look at the way black people use social media compared to any other race, the differences are readily identifiable, and yes the internet is at the core of that, nikkas are no longer stuck to "what happens in their neck of the woods" hence the reason you see phenomena like "dabbin". iggy azalea and the likes are vultures because when she speaks she sounds nothing like what she raps like, but our youth is different, hell, NYC nikkas been saying "lit" and you're likely to find young cali or southern nikkas actively using that word as part of their lexicon, to them its natural, and this goes beyond slang, to style, to music/sounds preference etc..

Like I said man. I travel. All over the planet, not just the USA. North South East and West. The internet killed nothing man. Go OUTSIDE!!!!!!

There are regional sounds everywhere. Slang travels but cadences, intonation, vocal inflection and accent is still very regional. It's one thing to jack slang. That been done. What I'm saying is PRETENDING to be from somewhere you not. Not just a city a whole different region Nobody in the South Sounds like NY. Cali still sounds like Cali. Go to Northern Cali and act like there is no regional sound and people will show you.

Unoriginality has been around forever as well. It's not a young or old argument. Has nothing to do with that. If your REGION is being taken over by the sounds of another region that's on your weak ass region not sticking to it's culture and being creative and ADDING on representing.

I mean why were people up in arms abut Iggy Azalea mimicking the shyt? If thats the case what she did is cool.......These people do not talk like this on the regular. First thing out this boys mouth is I got broads in Atlanta hahahahahahahahahaha Thats the whole focus. dikkriding the ATL and no matter how you wanna cut it I'm old enough to remember when NY heads were looking down on the SOUTH. I just find the dikkriding by this generation to be ironic and seriously funny.

I like this song.

There is no way to diss this record.
Especially if you been on the wave of this type of music

As the entire premise of the genre is welled in Making blatant ripoffs of bone meets staple double time and trap records on autotune.
So, if you have championed pop music sentiments of this style/genre of music.
You can't front on this one because it is as well done as any record in the genre.
A genre specifically all about biting.
So, there is no way if you like the staple artists in this genre and know the history of how the genre arose.
For you to diss this record and you publically are into this genre.

How is he pretending to be from somewhere he's not?

Regionality is dead and there isn't a sound unique to where a place grew up.

NY head were looking down on the south because they were jealous. That shyt is so transparent now.

People overly critical of NY AND not apart of hiphop have Mecca envy.

Also, real talk.
I don't think a rap single will come out better than panda this year in this genre.
Regardless of the permeation ability to draw.
Genre wise this is the best execution genre wise.
we will probably hear all year.

Hate or front if you want but this shyt and that zombie walk song are there.

fukk you talking about. NY aint no Mecca

NY, is the Mecca of the culture of hiphop.
Anyone questioning or disputing it is a toy and not a apart of hiphop, like that.
You suffer cultural disconnect being negative about the Mecca of the culture of hiphop and it is not warranted.

You are not even from NY, get their dikk out of your mouth.

Nobody is concerned with what happened in the 90s in the rap. NY hasn't matter in a long ass time. Still living off the past like the Big10
