Shiiit... Rich The Kid for starters! Phresher...Jay Critch..even Bobby Shmurda.. I'm talkin young nikkas. They grew up on Gucci Mane not Wu-Tang. It is what it is. That is what New York is now. Kids will be kids and they aren't gonna listen to their elders. Southern trap shyt been the wave for years. You can't blame these young kids for growing up to that shyt and then making music that reflects that influence. The younger the NY nikka, the more Southern influenced they gonna be. Then you got the NY autotune nikkas with the Southern drip and melodies like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie... PNV Jay starting to ride that sound now too. They came up on 2012 Future, not 1992 Das EFX. I'm not knockin' Wu or Das or any legendary NY group, I'm just stating that young nikkas currently didn't come up on that shyt. Even French Montana and Max B were early adapters to incorporating Southern drawl and swag in their shyt...then Nicki was doing it heavy. Then came A$AP Rocky! 50 was the first to do it, but he blamed it on the bullet hole in his cheek.

And J. Cole? Yeah... he is the ONLY one on that shyt. Name a few other nikkas from the South that are on his level of notoriety that come with an up north style in 2018? He the only one.
