Because no team wants to trade a franchise level QB when they are hard to come by these days.

If you tank his value and because of this incident, he would become radioactive and the Texans would have no other choice but to keep him.
Breh this is the NFL, teams do not care about a "sexual assault" allegation. Antonio Brown just won a Super Bowl. If Tyreek Hill asked for a trade, almost every team would give offers.

The Texans can keep Watson no matter what because he's under contract.

And you see where AB is right now. Still sitting at the crib waiting for the Buccaneers to offer him a deal that he will accept. No one wanted him last year and likely don't now. Brady was the only dude that wanted him and helped keep him in check.

The fact that the lawyer is cool with the McNair family does bring the credibility into question considering the circumstances that have transpired over the past year. It actually creates a potential conflict of interest. If the case continues, then the accuser is going to have to be in need of a new lawyer.

The fact that that lawyer wanted the Texans to draft Manziel, and the Texans drafted Clowney shows that he probably doesn't have has much clout in the organization like that.. He's most likely a fan who is mad at Watson for wanting out, and did this bullshyt like a petty bytch he is.

It still presents a conflict of interest as they all known of each other and more than likely have had contact previously. That's what conflicts of interest are.

If that case goes any further, then he has to step down.

Norfeast groovin…
Be smart. :francis:This is a nightmare for the Texans and a win for the other teams because IF ANYTHING it would lower his value on the trade market meaning Texans get LESS for him.
I wouldnt put this past :beli: in an effort to lowball the Texans

I had that thought too, but the timing at least makes this iffy as hell and potentially a vindictive measure on their part to make a trade away less attractive for Watson if he has to deal with off the field bullshyt. Just think, if they have no plans on trading then what do they care about the trade value? Why wouldn’t they torpedo other people’s wishes to get their QB?

There’s another case. I guess they’re all coming out now?

Edit: 4 cases? God damn.

Texans know they can’t keep him no matter what. Once’s player goes public that they want out it’s damn near impossible to keep him.

Besides this is a civil suit. Most teams don’t care as much about that since if found guilty there is only money being paid. No jail time

Huh? You do understand what's going on between Watson and the team now right? This is very likely a ploy to get the asking price for him lowered. Or they're just mad he wants to leave and feel like tarnishing his image.

So they used a lawyer that is actually good friends with the team owner? Shady mufukkas ain't even trying to mask their bullshyt anymore :smh:

Asking price lowered? Why would the Texans want the asking price to be lowered?
