adrian peterson got a huge contract and could also take advantage and act like a bytch, because any time he could get re injured and that 100 milli contract is gone, especially for a running back . he chooses to go the extra mile and fights to play.

He was getting paid $300K a year. I saw him in the club a couple times. He's shorter than mean and probably weighs about as much as me...yet playing against strong ass players. I aint mad at him.

Secure your money cause if he get hit hard enough, whos gonna pay his bills if he leave the league early?

Desean was getting paid $500,000 (or whatever it was) to play

we all saw him get blown up against Atlanta...that guys 1 hit away from ending his career. He coulda held out, but he came to camp thinkin he was going to get extended throughout the season..and finally realized that shyt wasnt happening. Wouldnt of been surprised if Joe Banner told him he would get extended, and then back tracked. Notice as soon as Banners gone, first thing they did was give Desean some money

Im an Eagles fan, and im not even mad at him :manny:

Key words " got a contract" and "100 million". DeSean had neither. What's this real athlete thing? Someone who doesn't play hard? Someone who plays hard regardless of the situation? "Real athlete" doesn't hold any weight these days. I told you that this isn't back in the days.

no. that's that childhood perception you have of what a pro athlete is. grown men realize this is how this man eats. especially without a guaranteed contract. can't be mad at him. i'm actually happy he admitted to it. that's some real ish

i guess im just cut from a different cloth that all of you. i was raised to go hard at all times in whatever you choose to do .

yall sound like a bunch of cutlers

if desean would have balled his ass off and tried, he could have gotten an even bigger contract. now there is still risk he gets hurt, and his attitude is questioned.

imo he fukked up.

Maclin about to play the same way for the next two years :pachaha:

I ain't even mad at Desean, players are viewing themselves as a business. You think crazy LT wouldn't be holding out every year. :pacspit: @ team loyalty unless you are JPP, Eli, KP and Nicks.

"I let it get to me, even though I tried not to let it. I was trying to protect myself from getting hurt -- now I'm just giving it all."

DeSean Jackson says he's trying now - NFC East Blog - ESPN

hes not the only one who had to wait to get paid. a real athlete doesn't do that shyt. or at least admit it like its no big deal

lost all respect for him

:comeon:

at least he admitted it or didn't fake an injury. how many guys get their big check then stop giving any effort at all. He could of pulled a Chris Johnson

Breh being cut from the same cloth has NOTHING to do with what I'm saying. I understand what you're saying, hence me saying that I could see it frOm both sides. However you don't seem to grasp how things are with this generation of sports. You sound like them old dudes from the 60's and 70's played ball and held down a job in a the off season to make ends meet. Updated your thinking brother, we ain't shining shoes no more.
