Google says it's a city the area of san francisco :mjlol:

I doubt they have the liquid or the manpower to pull that off. What about relocating employees too. Not even enough housing where they're going to take care of workers to start building
Relocation cost for employees isn't a consideration for 90% of Disney's workforce. Most would move on their own to keep their job, and the entry-level positions would be filled by locals at their new location.

Too big to move, unfortunately. It would cost Disney some serious money too, it ain't worth it.

Easier to ride out this clown, but if Florida politics keeps going downhill they might have to slowly move out over the years.

Not happening.

Disney will be there 100 years from now. Desantis surely won’t. May not even be governor next term.

If this dude cared more about the economic problems in Florida and addressed real policy he would have it in the bag

I said the same shyt about Trump. If these dudes weren't so stupid antidemocratic culture war vultures, they would have shyt in the bag in terms of a general election but they do their absolute best to turn out youth voters and black people while turning off moderate voters.

Disney isn’t going anywhere
If people don't want to go to Florida because of the laws this clown has put in there, that affects Disney's bottom line. If those quarterly reports keep slumping they'll do a cost benefit analysis and decide where they can go.

This is Disney, the company with 3 of the highest grossing films of all time under their belt. They effectively have unlimited money.

If dumbsantis sends them packing, that's a loss of BILLIONS for the state in accomodations, restaurants, shopping, etc.

I could not believe when I moved to FL that my car insurance went up by over $100/month, after being “Diamond” status with Progressive for like a decade. The reason they gave is because Florida has some of the worst drivers in the country and so many don’t have any insurance at all, so insurance companies have to cover their asses smh

Yep. That’s exactly the same BS they tell me every 6 months. So every 6 months I have to switch between auto insurance providers.

I’ve been driving since 04 and I’ve never been in an accident. Only about 2 tickets years ago.

Back in April of 2022 I had Geico for 2 vehicles and it was $220.

In September 2022 it increased to $335

It was due to increase to $415 this month but I cancel that crap and went back to progressive where now it’s at $260. I left progressive because every 6 months they would increase their price and blame the state of Florida. I will have to shop around again in 6 months but it shouldn’t have to be like this.

Straight from Flatbush
It would cost too much to move. Disney is obsessive about their buildings. They would have to dismantle everything, and then rebuild it brick by brick in NC.
Nah they would just build an identical park to the one in FL and once it’s up and running close down the Florida location.. Disney got parks all over the world they ain’t new to this..

Florida would become an absolute wasteland

You really sleeping on the type of money Disney got lol

They don’t have the money to shut Disney World down for years in order to move essentially an entire city. Disney World is the cash cow that keeps Disney afloat when they fukk up with other things like ESPN, D+, and bad movies.

It’s akin to a get out of jail free card for the entire company.
