Lennox would do him just like he did Michael Grant. Wilder at this stage probably couldn't beat Grant for real and we know how the Ox handled him. The only chance Deontay would have is that one lucky punch that landed twice that gave Lennox the wrap for having a bad chin.

Wilder doesn't have the skill to get in there like Rahman or McCall did to land their punches. He has the power to stop Lennox but he has to get to him first which is easier said then done. And trying to get to Lennox would just leave him outboxed and battered for 12 rounds.

I take more issue with the part of your comment that implies there's a such thing as a "lucky punch" that somebody can get KO'd by.... twice :dahell:

And Lennox has never really been a particularly hard guy to find with punches...Mercer tagged him up good over the course of 10, so did Bruno early in their fight, same with Briggs....Rahman, McCall, Briggs, Bruno & Mercer aren't exactly what you would call sweet science savants and they were able to catch up with Lewis...No reason why Wilder couldn't...especially since Lewis has shown himself to be susceptible to Wilder's kill shot.

Maybe not lucky punches but they were punches landed square on the jaw that would have knocked out any fighter. You said it yourself. Bruno Briggs etc. were all able to touch him but he only got knocked out twice. People act like Lennox had a chin like Vlad and anytime he gets touched he drops. And the reason why Deontay couldn't touch Lewis is cause he isn't as good as any of those boxers you named.

not gonna lie..i had a little laughing fit at that post of wilder not being able to beat michael grant lol

all jokes aside..what wilder needs is something like what the wba is doing with fury...if fury survives that tournament with his zero and title intact id have to respect that even though i think he has acts like a fool..deontay needs that type of tournament with some contenders..build up cred..it worked for andre ward before he stopped fighting regularly
