This is cap until a trustworthy source confirms.

Denzel is too good to star in Marvel slop, must be for retirement money which is is fair.
That's the thing about opinions. He didn't say Marvel. He said he wants to work with Ryan Coogler. He doesn't view those movies as slop. He said years ago he saw the first Black Panther at a special screening with Chadwick and the movie had him in tears. :yeshrug:

Well deserved retirement. Hate to see him go but he gave all he had. :salute:

Plus he starting to look and move old, lord knows how hard it is for him to do this now. Surprised hes retiring before Sam.

He explicitly said Coogler is writing a part for him in the next Black Panther.

Uhh...that was my point. He doesnt view it as "Marvel slop" He views them as Ryan Coogler movies. There are actors who wont see any other MCU film, but look at the BP films as something else on its own.

King Lear is my favourite play after Macbeth. Can't wait for that performance.

I want to see a movie or series about Broadway during the 70s and 80s with the solid black actors that we see on the big screen today

Denzel Washington
Samuel L. Jackson
Morgan Freeman
Laurence Fishburne
Wesley Snipes

Probably missing a few but they were all contemporaries on Broadway at time, before they got their big breaks in the 90s.
