that part in Flight where he was talkin to the prisoners :mjcry:

"That was it. I was finished. I was done. It was as if I had reached my lifelong limit of lies. I could not tell one more lie. And maybe I'm a sucker. Because if I had told just one more lie, I could've walked away from all that mess and kept my wings, kept my false sense of pride. And more importantly, I could've avoided being locked up in here with all you nice folks for the last thirteen months."

lawd that shyt almost made me cry in the flix :mjcry:

Good look, came to post, this is my favorite Denzel interview.

fukk these Hollywood cacs and kikes.

The thing with Denzel...he's mostly accomplished all of this working with B-tier directors...the biggest guys don't have roles for black actors, and certainly not roles for dignified black actors like Denzel. Scorsese, Fincher, Anderson, Aronofsky, etc etc etc. Dude made half his movies with Tony Scott and shyt, and STILL came out on top. Black Excellence personified....:salute:

Denzel is the EPITOME of "never underestimate a REAL nikka."
period
thats why i always laugh at muthafukkas who'll jump on this bytch like "he's always playing the same character, yada yada..."
no
he hops on set and says "im gonna be Denzel today. Is that ok? Does anyone here have a problem with that?" :deadmanny:

and STILL manages to pull off memorable ass characters

Favorite movie he starred in was Devil in a Blue Dress. Great story, era, acting, atmosphere. Mouse stole the scenes that he was in though. They shoulda made a series of sequels for Easy Rawlins, like they did Bond and Indiana Jones, but I don't think the movie made too much.

If you seen Devil in a Blue Dress and liked it, check out the book. It's based on a series of books by Walter Mosley featuring the Ezekial Rawlins character.

Great movie, and really feels unique in light of the kinds of movies blacks tend to star in. He got in on that LA Confidential vibe before LAC did....:wow:

And yeah, Cheadle stole the fukking show....
