Ehhh I read the Esquire article.
He said he did Acid and weed.
He said he drank alot but didn't drink when he was working on his movies, so was it really a problem?
Said he stopped drinking when he was 60 and is 10 years without a drink.
Shooting dope comment was vague, there was no follow on that.
He has so many projects coming out Equalizer 4 and 5.

I am about to buy tickets to this. Two of my favorite actors on broadway.
I think his team is telling him to be more open so he can be more personable or some shyt, not some multimillionaire actor.

Well, since he admitted it already, this shouldn’t even be a big deal. Although I didn’t know this before, I hate when previously revealed info resurfaces years later as “breaking news.”
I remember that Coli Hollywood Stories thread, someone asked is there any info about Denzel, and dude said “Denzel has some interesting friends.” He also alluded to an affair with Sanaa Lathan. Harry O (founder of Death Row) was cool with him back in the days. Denzel’s cousins in Chicago were Stones. Denzel may not be a saint (no one is), but I still see him as a stand up brotha.

There were rumors about these two getting close during filming. Watching them on screen you get that vibe.
Tbh I think a lot of people brought into Denzel's no kissing non black women on screen, as something he kept up in his private life, which was a clever bit of image building. Kept black women fully on side.
I personally think he has an arrangement with his wife. And the people he sees/saw are just as discreet as him and also have no reason to blow up their spots.

he also mentioned it's been 10 years of sobriety...if i had to guess, he's probably getting ready to drop a book like others have said. denzel mentioned recently he's transitioning his career to more behind the scenes stuff so he probably doesn't care about his image at this point.
There is a reason he made those comments about how his wife is the most important person in his life some time back.
