Do Lakers have cap room to go after someone else in the offseason, looks like they in luxury tax right now?
If not he'll at least get the same offer from the Lakers again, so it's limited risk

They don't have cap space. They will be about $116M in salaries committed already. Luxury tax is $136M.

They may be able to find a guy with the MLE but the class of free agent PGs this summer isn't impressive...who knows. Maybe Elfrid Payton or someone like that at less money is a better move
