I think the Lakers would had imo if they won it all
Nope, Lakers have let go much better talent in the past due to money. They would definitely not sign a guy to money that no one was offering. 120 mil for Dennis is insane lol, that is money for allstars or close to allstars. Dennis is not that, he's a very good player though. This is why $84 mil was very good for him, DeMar, Lonzo, etc got same type of money.

Didn’t say 120. But 90-100 million for sure if they won.

I can’t remember the Lakers letting someone go as good as Dennis

Ariza was a champion and Lakers let him walk because he wanted more, they even let Caruso walk over 10 million. Dennis was not going to make more money than Lowry, Lonzo for any team. Lakers also have been planning for the future to find an allstar to team up with AD, they would not offer a contract that was not movable in a few years.

Base case scenario for him is to ball out the first half of the season and hope a team pulls the trigger on him by the trade deadline. Or he outplays Russ and redeems himself into the rotation.

Heard part of the reason why he didn’t wanna sign the extension is cause he didn’t wanna be a trade chip for the Lakers.

Like nikka:why: that’s some dumbass logic. There’s a bank in every city nikka. He woulda had his bread and not be the laughing stock of the league right now. Delusional ass nikka:snoop:
good. he allowed us to build a much better roster.

the ether
Really tho he in a fukked up situation he better than everybody the Lakers brought on except Russ. He miles ahead of the rest of them
.
How this gonna play out

Well everybody else the Lakers brought on is making $5 million or less, so..... :manny:

If Schroder was that valuable then SOMEONE would have signed him already. The reason he can't get his ass signed for shyt is because GMs are suspicious that he's not even an above average player.

Shai got $34 million/year
Lowry got $30 million/year
Conley got $24 million/year
Diwiddie got $24 million/year
Lonzo got $21 million/year
Founier got $20 million/year
Hardaway Jr. got $19 million/year
Powell got $18 million/year
Rose got $14 million/year
even Danny Green got $10 million/year and Caruso got $9 million/year

He can't claim there wasn't a market. It looks like a LOT of guards got paid. Just that no one wanted to pay him.

Turning down $84 million cause you think the team "might" give you $90 million if shyt breaks right is a huge if. Especially considering that Lakers weren't even looking like the title contender like that when Schroder turned down the money.

everyone not AD or Bron is a trade chip or a 1 year rental like Dwight was. Dennis should’ve accepted that and taken the bag because even if/when he got traded he was still getting paid.

The downside is he would’ve gotten shipped to somewhere miserable like Sacramento with no chance of winning a damn thing.

He for sure would have gotten traded but now, LAL is bailed out because no one would have wanted him.
